The City of Oneonta has issued a reminder for snow and ice removal due to the impending snow storm:

"To the Residents of Oneonta,

This notification is to alert you to the City of Oneonta sidewalk snow and ice removal policy. In the event of snow or ice, you, as the resident or property owner, are required to shovel the public sidewalk in front of your home or business. Snow and ice must be removed to the full width of the paved area and salt or sand applied in the event of ice accumulation. Snow and ice removal is required for any amount of snow or ice accumulation. If snow or ice is not removed by 9 AM of the day following snow accumulation the City of Oneonta will remove the snow at a rate of the cost for removal plus 50%. This policy is to ensure that all members of our community have safe and ready access to our city"
