Charges Brought Against New Lisbon Event Organizer

Charges are brought against a New Lisbon man for holding a festival after the Otsego County Health Department issued a cease and desist order to stop the event. Sheriff Richard Devlin says George Knarich was taken into custody Monday for violating Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s executive orders banning non-essential mass gatherings. Devlin says the event took place on property owned by the county due to tax foreclosure. Knarich is being held pending arraignment.
