Former Oneonta Mayor David Brenner passed away March 4th at the age of 90 at Cooperstown Center Rehabilitation and Nursing Home . Brenner was Mayor of the City for three terms from 1986 until 1998.

Harold G. Elderkin Jr., 72, of Franklin, passed away peacefully Friday, March 22, 2013 at home with his family by his side after a brief illness with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease. He was born February 22, 1941 in the town of Butternuts, the son of the late Harold and Rethea (Walley) Elderkin. On July 28, 1962 he married the love of his life, Lynda Goodrich, and celebrated 50 wonderful years together.

Bruce A. Jester, 71, of Oneonta passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 after a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) with his family by his side. He was born August 18, 1941 in Oneonta the son of the late Edgar Frederic and Clive (Bryant) Jester.
