The American Red Cross urges eligible donors to donate blood now to help maintain the blood supply around the Independence Day holiday. Blood donations often decline during the summer months, but the Red Cross says the need for blood is constant for patients. You have the chance to help as there are local blood drives coming up in Delhi on July 5th from 2 to 6 p.m. at Delhi United Ministry, in Oneonta July 9th from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Main Street Baptist Church's Briggs Hall and in Sidney July 11th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sidney Federal Credit Union, 42 Union Street.

To make an appointment to give blood (walk-ins also welcome) call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or redcross.org/give-blood.
