The Glimmerglass Festival, in collaboration with the Village Library of Cooperstown, presents Behind the Curtain of The Crucible, a series of community events centered on Robert Ward’s Pulitzer Prize-winning opera, The Crucible, which opens July 23 at the 2016 Glimmerglass Festival. Held at the Village Library of Cooperstown and The Glimmerglass Festival, the series features speakers Will Walker, Jeannine Webster and George Hovis from the Cooperstown Graduate Program and SUNY Oneonta, as well as a discussion with New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and litigator Faith Gay. The collaboration also includes performances by members of The Glimmerglass Festival’s Young Artists Program, the company’s training program for emerging performers.
