Upstate New York is defined by our natural beauty.  Gently rolling hills, towering high peaks, beautiful river valleys, abundant farmlands and lakes, lakes and more lakes.  But we also have an embarrassment of riches when it comes to museums offering world-class art.  These places are stunning buildings and hold works by the most famous artists in the art world, from Rembrandt to Andy Warhol.  Here is a baker's dozen of some of our region's best art museums.  All of them deserve a look.  (For those looking for the great Albright-Knox Museum in Buffalo, we left it off this time because it is undergoing a renovation and isn't expected to reopen for a year or more).
