The clean-up from Friday's flooding in the town of Sherburne is continuing.

Mayor William Acee said Saturday night that all roads have been re-opened and the village crews continue to monitor the sewer and water system.

Since the flooding, caused by over five inches of rain overnight Thursday, more homes and businesses have been found to have suffered first-floor flooding. Mayor Acee says the immediate danger is over, but some areas could experience more flooding if two or more inches of rain falls at a time.

Acee said to prevent more possible flooding, the village will try to raise the banks of some streams. Recovery efforts in Sherburne are expected to last a month.
