On our community affairs show "This Week in Central New York" yesterday, Big Chuck took the microphone and interviewed several local people with events and information for our listeners.

Bob Brozowski and Patrice Macaluso stopped by to give us an update on plans for the now shuttered old Oneonta Theatre.  They told us about money that has been made available for necessary assessments of the building and to prove the viability of another performing arts space in downtown Oneonta.  It looks like there could be a bright future on the horizon for this City of the Hills landmark.

Representatives from Bassett Hospital came by to tell us about the upcoming "Main Street Goes Blue" campaign to raise awareness for the fight against colon cancer.  There will be fun, games, light refreshments, raffles and (yes) a giant inflatable colon!

And Katie Losie and friends came by to give us a preview of their upcoming Oneonta High School theater department production of "42nd Street."  She brought along two of her budding stars and they are all excited about putting on this legendary show for the Oneonta audiences.

Join us each and every Saturday on all our Townsquare Media radio stations for "This Week in Central New York" at 7:00.
