One of the two defendants in the murder of a Chenango County man last year has taken a plea deal. According to court papers Melissa Crispell pleaded guilty to first degree robbery and will be in state prison for 15 to 25 years.

Prosecutors say the plea deal required Crispell to testify against co-defendant Jeremy Coats. According to investigators Crispell and Coates killed David Green during a robbery at Green’s Oxford home in September 2016. A trial date for Coates has not been set.
