Thursday Oldies Flashback: Gene Chandler, “The Duke of Earl” (VIDEO)

Gene Chandler's 1962 million-seller "Duke of Earl" remains one of the most requested Oldies songs on any nostalgia radio station.

Chandler also hit with "Groovy Situation" many years later, but it is the appearance of the suave and cheeky Duke of Earl, white gloves, monocle, cane, black top hat, that still brings crowds roaring to their feet at Oldies reunion shows all over the country.
