Shirley Ellis mastered the art of the "novelty song" in the early 1960s.  She landed three of these quirky ;little ditties in the Top 40 in a span of just eighteen months.  The most successful of them all was this childhood rhyme song, "The Name Game."

The song sold a million copies and launched Shirley on to such television shows as American Bandstand and Hullabaloo.

The song remains popular today with even young children trying to fit their names into the song (unfortunately for guys like me named Chuck, well, we could never play along!).

Shirley Ellis turns 72-years old next month.

How many remember "The Name Game"?
