Before long, all Town of Oneonta residents and property owners will be receiving a survey from JZ Analytics seeking input in order to update the town’s comprehensive plan.

"The master plan was done originally in 1997 and we're updating it to get an idea from the town folks as to what they would like to see," Town of Oneonta committee member Bob Harlem said. "It's kind of a guide for how we move forward in the next 10-15 years. The survey going out deals with a lot of different questions and your input is greatly sought because we need that to guide ourselves as to where we go with the town."

Committee member Maria McMullen talks about what will happen once JZ Analytics has the data results.

"They will collect, collate and analyze and bundle the information and give it back to the committee," she said. "It's then the committee's job to put together a recommendation for the town's comprehensive plan and offer to the Town Board to vote on."

McMullen and Harlem say they would like to have the surveys returned by the end of the month.
