I think the best things in life seem to be the ones you stumble upon accidentally. When it involves food, all the better!  I ended up on a great Youtube video featuring a how-to recipe for quiche in a mug and loved what I saw.

First of all, I LOVE quiche!  The only downside to quiche is that it takes a long time to bake, even if it is rather easy to put together for your family.  Quiche is a mug by Rebecca Mumsnet is the perfect remedy for that!  Plus, it's a single serving and great for a quick, healthy breakfast, lunch or dinner for that matter.

After you get your ingredients together that you'd like to put in the quiche, it only takes five minutes to prepare and is ready to eat!  Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Here are the ingredients you'll need:

  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 tbsp whole milk
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp of grated cheddar
  • Whatever else you like to fill it with! We chose cherry tomatoes (4, quartered), a small handful of spinach and 2 chopped spring onions. You could add ham or cooked bacon here.
  • 1 slice of bread, torn into small pieces
