A Chenango County man was arrested after being caught in the act of dumping materials used to make methamphetamine in a wooded area. Police say it happened at a mobile home in the village of Sherburne off Classic Street where several tips had come in about a possible meth lab. According to investigators 19 year old Andrew J.J. Palmer was trying to get rid of several so-called one pot devices when he was arrested. The hazmat squad was called in to clean up the woods and the mobile home.
