New York State Senator James L. Seward reacted to Tuesday’s 2018-2019 budget presentation by Governor Cuomo saying New York needs to focus on two key fundamentals – new job opportunities and affordability for families and businesses. In a statement Seward said state spending needs to be capped along with cutting taxes and generating economic growth. Cuomo has proposed at least $1 billion in new fees and taxes as a way to work on closing an over $4 billion budget deficit.
