State Senator Jim Seward announced three area school districts will be receiving $50,000 state grants for various projects and general education needs. According to a news release Seward says the grants for the Charlotte Valley, Franklin and Unatego districts will translate to opportunities for students, and tax relief for local property owners. There were no specific projects listed for Franklin and Unatego but Charlotte Valley officials say they will use the funds to help with costs associated with a parking lot improvement project.
