School Closing, Power Failures, Road Closures Follow Central NY Storm

If you happened to sleep through last night's doozy of a thunderstorm, then you are waking up to the surprise of road closure announcements, a school closing, and widespread power failures.  Delaware Academy in Delhi has closed the Elementary School.  Staff should not report.  The Delaware Academy Middle and High Schools are open with Regents exams taking place as scheduled.  Staff should report.

As far as roads go, crews are busy this morning cleaning up debris from last night's storm.  Be prepared for your morning commute to potentially be re-routed.  In the city of Oneonta, downed power lines have caused the closure of one block on Myrtle Ave., West End Ave., and Elm Street.

Thousands lost power throughout the listening area.
