Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman says New Yorkers were refunded around $3 million in healthcare expenses thanks to the work of the Health Care Bureau’s Helpline.

Schniederman says the free service offered by the Office of the Attorney General investigated and resolved nearly 3,000 consumer complaints during the past year. The bureau also help New Yorkers access medically necessary care or prescription medication previously denied to them.
