A popular Oneonta bar is facing charges after the New York State Police conducted an underage drinking sting operation on St. Patrick's Day.

State Liquor Authority charges are pending against Legend’s Bar & Grill at 82 Main Street in Oneonta. In addition, a Legend's bartender, Chelsea M. Jordan, 23, was arrested, ticketed, and charged with unlawfully dealing with a child and unlawful sale of alcohol to a person under 21. A bar patron was also arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana.

Three other establishments were also visited during the course of the initiative and they did not permit the entry and/or sale of alcohol to the underage operatives. They are: John's Tavern in Stamford, the Sip 'n Sail Tavern in Oneonta, and the Red Jug Tavern, also in Oneonta.
