If you've been saying choice words under your breath while driving on some of Oneonta's pothole riddled streets, then this news will cheer you up.  "Hot-In-Place Pavement Recycling" will take place starting today on River Street and is expected to be done by May 27th if the weather cooperates.  It's not looking good for the weather permitting aspect, with showers expected today and tomorrow.

River Street is not the only road getting a facelift.  Plans are also in place to resurface Maple Street (from Center to State), then on to Suncrest Terrace, College Terrace, Ravine Parkway, Dietz St., Center Street (from Maple to West), and Elm Street (from Main to Spruce).  While any of these streets are being paved, parking will not be permitted there during the work.

If you have questions or wish to get an updated schedule (issued next week), call the Oneonta City Engineering Department at (607) 432-6465.
