Patrick W. Ford, 41, of Norwich, pleaded not guilty in Chenango County Court on Monday.

He has been charged with: Two counts of first degree attempted murder of a police officer, a Class A-1 violent felony, second degree attempted murder, a Class B felony, three counts of first degree criminal use of a firearm, a Class B felony, second degree criminal possession of a firearm, a Class C felony, three counts of menacing a police officer, a Class C felony, and six counts of first degree reckless endangerment, a Class D felony.

On Aug. 30, Ford allegedly repeatedly fired a 40-caliber Glock handgun at a Chenango County Sheriff's Office deputy, a sergeant, a state trooper, and several civilians near a residence of State Route 23 in the Town of Pitcher.

The incident followed an alleged motor vehicle accident involving Ford and his 9-year-old son.

Ford was remanded to the Chenango County correctional facility on $200,000.
