The bus went off Interstate 88 and traveled down an embankment before coming to rest on its side. The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities say ten students were on the bus, along with two coaches and the driver. They were transported to A.O. Fox Hospital for evaluation. One student reportedly sustained moderate injuries.

State police say the bus driver was issued a ticket for moving from a lane unsafely.

According to a statement released by the Owego Apalachin School District, the volleyball team was heading to a tournament at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, north of Albany.
