Saturday was a big day for the ARC Otsego's new program, The Otsego ReUse Center, on Dwayne Street in Oneonta.  A ribbon cutting with the Otsego County Chamber of Commerce, along with Trout Unlimited fly tying lessons and vendors selling repurposed items brought this new addition to our area to life.

The ARC's mission for The Otsego ReUse Center is to provide the community with an opportunity to buy gently used home items and building supplies which have been donated, all the while employing people with developmental disabilities whom the ARC Otsego serves and keeping these items out of the waste stream.

After being there for the Grand Opening, I was amazed at how much you can get there!  I found appliances, garden tools, furniture, lamps, doors, building materials, air conditioners, hardware, records, and the list goes on and on!  I highly recommend checking it out because the prices are fabulous and money raised goes to the wonderful programs of the ARC Otsego.

If you are cleaning out your home, there's a list on the Otsego Reuse Center website of items they will take.  CLICK HERE for the list.
