On June 2nd an Otsego County Jail inmate was arrested on a variety of charges.

Justin Michael Quackenbush, 27, is charged with the following:

Promoting prison contraband, 1st degree, a felony. He is accused of being in possession of a homemade shank during a cell search on 5/21.

Menacing, 3rd degree, a misdemeanor. He is accused of he menacing a correctional officer with a wooden broom handle while cleaning the block on 5/22 and refusing to return to his cell .

Three counts of attempted assault, 2nd degree, felonies. He is accused of kicking at two correctional officers on 5/22 and trying to flip a table onto a correctional officer on 5/26.

Quackenbush, who was being held on $1,000 bail for an unrelated charge, was arraigned in the Town of Middlefield court and sent back to the jail on an additional $5,000 bail. He faces up to 19 years of incarceration if convicted of all the charges.
