Oneonta Police are warning about an increase in crime that can accompany warmer temperatures. That’s because vehicles, homes and other valuables may be left unsecured as people spend more time outdoors. The department says to close and lock windows and doors, keep valuables hidden from sight and be sure to secure any easily moved home and lawn decorative items when leaving home. Officers will conduct neighborhood patrols and will do their best to notify residents of any concerns that they may observe.
