The City of Oneonta received $750,000 from round 5 of the Restore New York Communities Initiative. According to a news release the money will go toward redevelopment of the Stevens Hardware building on Main Street in the heart of downtown Oneonta. Senator James Seward said local communities are taking key steps to rebuild historic buildings, rejuvenate downtown districts, and enhance economic growth and this latest round of Restore New York grants will stimulate those ongoing efforts.
