Oneonta Police Arrest Local Woman For Second Degree Assault

Oneonta City Police arrested a 53 year old woman Wednesday on a 2nd degree assault charge. Rebecca Gartung was being held in the city lockup pending arraignment.

Police say Gartung allegedly swung a bag filled with bottles at a 43-year-old woman near Muller Plaza at about 10 a.m. yesterday. Police say a broken bottle in the bag cut the woman on the leg and she was taken to A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital for treatment.
