Oneonta City Manager Selects Doug Kendall as City Clerk

The Oneonta City Manager says his selection for the City Clerk position is Doug Kendall. Michael Long is asking the Common Council at their meeting tonight to confirm this appointment.

Since last year, Kendall has been the Registrar at the New Bedford Whaling Museum in New Bedford, Mass. For two years prior to that, he was curator of collections for the Fenimore Art Museum and The Farmers’ Museum in Cooperstown.

There were 23 applications for the position currently held by Jim Koury. There were formal interviews with six candidates before the field of candidates was narrowed down to three semi-finalists.
