The City of Oneonta will conduct curbside pickup of green waste from Monday, October 27 through Friday, October 31 in wards one through four, and from Monday, November 3 through Friday November 7 in wards five through 8. Residents no longer need to call the city to request green waste pickups. Green waste must be contained in biodegradable/paper bags. Please do not overfill bags; they should be able to be closed. Bags should only contain green waste; no rocks, dirt, or household trash. Brush that does not fit in bags must be shorter than four feet in length and smaller than three inches in diameter. City residents are reminded that they may bring green waste to the disposal site on Silas Lane. To drop off waste, residents must first sign in and get a key from the Public Service office at 76 Silas Lane. Hours are weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Only green waste is allowed. No household items or lumber.
