The results from last month’s New York State Underage Drinking Enforcement Campaign are in and over 200 licensees were charged with selling alcohol to minors with nearly 50 minors arrested for trying to buy alcohol with a fake ID. According to Governor Cuomo’s Office, the coordinated effort between the State Liquor Authority, the Department of Motor Vehicles and local law enforcement agencies resulted in over 750 establishments being visited in April. The State Liquor Authority recommends that all licensees and employees who serve or sell alcoholic beverages take an Alcohol Training Awareness Program.
