A New York State Senator wants to make it against the law to drive away without brushing the snow off your car first. Senator Tony Avella is sponsoring a bill requiring drivers to remove snow from the hood, windshield and top of their cars or face a $75 fine. The ordinance’s goal is to reduce car accidents caused by snow flying off vehicles. Connecticut and New Jersey already have similar laws.
