Governor Cuomo's Office announced a new education initiative that ensures every elementary, middle and high school across New York will provide computer science education by the year 2025. According to Governor Cuomo’s office the state is investing $6 million a year for the next five years in teacher training and development to deliver computer science education in the classroom. Grants will be awarded to districts through a competitive process, with initial focus on K-8 and priority for schools with the highest need.
