New York State Police at Norwich arrested a Norwich man Tuesday for ten counts of promoting and possessing sexual performances by a child.

Darren Pollock, 27, was charged with five counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child, Class D felony, and five counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, Class E felony.

The arrest was made following a lengthy investigation by members of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, members of the New York State Police and Norwich City Police.

Pollock was arraigned in Town of Norwich and remanded on $5,000 cash bail to the Chenango County Correctional Facility, where he is awaiting future court appearances.
