North Sea Gas is one of Scotland's greatest traditional bands.  They are appearing in Walton at the historic Walton Theater this Saturday night at 7:30.

Ten years ago I took a trip to Scotland with my friend Cameron, who now lives in Oneonta.  It was a great week long trip that took us all over his beautiful home country.  One night Cameron took me to his favorite pub in Edinburgh, called "The Bailey."  It was a great night of sharing a pint and some stories with some real true Scotsmen.

When it was time to go the barkeep said, "Whats your hurry lads, we have some music starting up in a wee bit."  So we stayed.  Am I glad we did!  The band was North Sea Gas!  They rocked the house with the traditional sounds of Old Scotland and had the whole place jumping, dancing and stomping along.

And now, to think.  They are coming from Edinburgh where I first saw them a decade ago, right here to little Walton.

What a journey.  You should go see them.  They are a lot of fun!
