A 60-year-old upstate New York man has been charged with murder in the shooting death of another man. State police say troopers responded Thursday to a reported shooting in the Town of Jefferson along the Delaware-Schoharie county line. An investigation found that Jack Macaluso allegedly shot 43-year-old Dale McGregor with a long gun during a dispute at a residence. McGregor died from the shooting. Troopers say both men are from the area and that the investigation continues. Macaluso is charged with second-degree murder, criminal possession of a weapon, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Town of Jefferson Court and sent to Schoharie County Jail with no bail.
