October 25, 2016) On October 22, 2016, New York State Police at Sidney arrested Donald M. Wilber, 33, of Mount Upton, NY for the felonies of assault 2nd degree, criminal contempt 1st degree, criminal mischief 3rd degree and the misdemeanor of menacing 2nd degree.

This arrest occurred after troopers responded to a report of a physical dispute with a weapon outside a home on Church Street in the Town of Bainbridge at about 9:20 a.m., that morning. An investigation determined that Wilbur had approached a vehicle that he was following after it stopped on Church Street. One of the occupants of the vehicle had an order of protection against him. When she would not leave the vehicle, Wilber struck the window and door with a baseball bat several times causing damage. This also caused the victim and the driver to received lacerations to their heads from the broken glass.

Wilber was arraigned in the Town of Guilford Court and was remanded to the Chenango County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $50,000 property bond. His next court date in the Town of Bainbridge is pending.
