Long Island Man Charged with Homicide in Otsego Hunting Incident

Robert R. Gerbino, age 57, of Garden City, New York was arrested on April 9th by the New York State Police at Oneonta. He has been charged with criminally negligent homicide, a Class E Felony, based upon a sealed indictment handed down by the Otsego County Grand Jury.

The Grand Jury determined that on 11/16/13, Robert Gerbino did, with criminal negligence, cause the death of Charles Bruce. The men were part of a group who were hunting together on that date on private property, in the Town of Westford, Otsego County.

Officials say there are no other criminal charges pending at this time and the investigation is complete.
