200 members of law enforcement from federal, state and local agencies are in Albany today to take part in the State Police Academy’s National Below 100 Training Program.

The program will train law enforcement on how to reduce enforcement fatalities. The initiative aims to reduce the line of duty deaths nationally to below 100 annually, a number not seen since 1944. The training will address driving issues, safe driving, and skills that allow law enforcement members to quickly process and prioritize complex and dangerous situations.

Among the law enforcement agencies represented at the training class will be the Broome, Delaware and Otsego county sheriff’s offices.
