Libous to Co-Sponsor Jobs for Veterans Bill

State Senator Tom Libous says has announced he is co-sponsoring the “NY Jobs for Heroes Program.” This bill would establish a program for disabled veteran business owners to give them a preference for state contracts.

“Jobs for Heroes" builds on a measure passed in the budget last year, the "Hire a Vet” tax credit, which gives businesses tax credits for employing post 9/11 veterans and disabled veterans.

The "Jobs for Heroes" bill has bi-partisan support in the Senate and Assembly, and was endorsed by the Governor in his State of the State address.
