Health Scares For Two Country Giants: Mel Tillis and Mickey Gilley!

Country Music legends Mel Tillis and Mickey Gilley are in the news because of health scares.

Mickey Gilley suffered serious injuries a while back that left him partially paralyzed.  After a long road of physical therapy and surgery Mickey is now able to walk again and in fact has already scheduled new shows for a 2014 tour.  Welcome back to the "Prince of Pasadena!"

Mel Tillis is back home after successfully undergoing heart surgery last week.  Mel's daughter, singer Pam Tillis, says her dad is doing great and thanks all the well wishers who have sent thoughts and prayers his way.  Get well soon, Mel!

Mickey Gilley, 78, and Mel Tillis, 81, have combined to score more than 60 Top 40 country hits.
