A new survey by the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities reports Hartwick College generated an estimated $123 million in total economic impact on the Mohawk Valley region in 2017. The study found that over $49 million of that was from direct spending by Hartwick. The school accounted for $5.4 million in average annual construction spending, up $700,000 from the previous survey. In 2017, the College opened its new $7.1 million living-learning apartment community on campus, which houses 72 upper-class students.
