SUNY Delhi anticipates the long-awaited return of the world famous Harlem Globetrotters, coming to campus at 7 p.m. Feb. 4. This marks the only Harlem Globetrotters appearance locally, and their first appearance in the Oneonta area in almost 10 years.

"Last year we approached the Globetrotters and asked them about the possibility of returning as part of SUNY Delhi's centennial celebration," SUNY Delhi director of student services Marty Greenfield said. "We were fortunate enough that their touring schedule worked out where they will be coming back to Delhi."

Among the Harlem Globetrotters are England’s 7-foot, 8-inch Tiny Sturgess, the tallest player to ever play for them. Half-court shot specialist “Big Easy” Lofton and TNT Maddox, the first woman to play for the Globetrotters, will also be appearing in the game.

As a special part of this centennial celebration, all of the Globetrotters will remain on the court for at least a half hour after the completion of the game to sign autographs for this area’s fans.
