The Green Jobs NY outreach team wants to let homeowners, small businesses, and non-profits know how they can get a thorough energy assessment of their home or office at no cost to the homeowner or business owner.

A workshop is scheduled for tomorrow from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Edmeston Central School Auditorium, 11 North St, Edmeston.

In addition, local contractors will demonstrate technologies they use to evaluate the energy efficiency of a building. Each workshop will have outreach coordinators who can guide people through the process of applying for NYSERDA incentives, and local BPI-accredited contractors demonstrating some of the techniques they use to assess a home’s energy efficiency.

Homeowners who are interested in applying can do so at the workshop; they just need to bring a copy of their most recent utility bill.

If you can't attend tomorrow's workshop, another one is scheduled for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. May 11 at the Hanford Mills Museum in East Meredith.
