A vigil to support members of the LGBT community, as well as the victims and survivors of the Orlando mass shooting, will be held Thursday at 7 pm at Muller Plaza in downtown Oneonta.  This candlelight service will focus on "healing and wholeness" in the wake of the Orlando tragedy.  The city of Oneonta released a proclamation in support of the local gay community signed by Mayor Gary Herzig.  Backers of this vigil include the Unitarian Universalist Church of Oneonta, the First United Methodist Church of Oneonta, the local chapter of the NAACP and others.

The public is invited to attend.
