Bassett Healthcare Network is partnering with the Oneonta Elks Club to offer free hands-only CPR classes on Sunday, May 1. The course, which will be offered in two sessions, will teach children and adults what to do in an emergency situation.  Instructors will demonstrate and teach CPR and how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED). Knowing how to perform CPR and beginning it immediately after someone has gone into cardiac arrest can double, even triple the chance of survival.

Session #1: 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. (middle and high school students)
Session #2: 11 a.m. – noon (adults)

There is no fee for the course and it is open to the public. If you are interested, contact the Oneonta Elks Club at (607) 432-1312 to enroll. High school seniors may also receive credit towards graduation if they have not taken the course at their respective schools.
