Franklin Man Arrested For DWI With Child In Vehicle

State Police arrested 37 year old Jason A. Knapp of Franklin this week for felony aggravated DWI, endangering the welfare of a child, and leaving the scene of an accident.

The arrest occurred after police investigated a one car accident on Route 7 in Otego in which the driver fled the scene with a child. Knapp and the 8 year-old-child were located a short time later. It is alleged that Knapp was driving while intoxicated and had a child in the car with him.

Knapp will appear in Otego Town Court November 14th.
