University researchers and science educators come together this weekend for a hands-on event.

SUNY Oneonta and the Oneonta World of Learning will host NanoDays, an exploration of the miniscule world of atoms and molecules, and the forces that act on them, on Saturday from noon to 4 pm at the college’s Science Discovery Center in the Science I Building.

A range of presentations for kids and adults will demonstrate the unexpected properties found at the nanoscale, examine tools used by nanoscientists, showcase nano materials with spectacular promise, and invite discussion of technology and society.

Organized by the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network, NanoDays programs nationwide comprise North America’s largest public outreach effort in informal nanoscale science education.
