SUNY Oneonta’s 2016 Red Day celebration will feature an alumni luncheon, recognition of some of the college’s most accomplished graduates and a fireworks display.

The annual spirit day, which celebrates the anniversary of the college’s founding, will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, on the campus quad. From 11 to 3 p.m., there will be activities and giveaways sponsored by the Student Association and the Oneonta Future Alumni Network.

An alumni luncheon will be held at 12:30 p.m. in the newly renovated Center for Multicultural Experiences in Lee Hall. Registration is required for this event and may be done at www.oneontaalumni.com or by calling the Office of Alumni Engagement at (607) 436-2526.

At 6 p.m., there will be a reception honoring the college’s Alumni of Distinction. This event is by invitation only. More information on the Alumni of Distinction program is available at oneontaalumni.com/alumniofdistinction

Red Day will close with a fireworks display at 9 p.m. The viewing location will be outside the Hunt College Union on the track at the All College Field.
