On April 10th a Village of Earlville resident was arrested for assault, aggravated harassment against a police officer, resisting arrest, driving while impaired, and moving violations.

Jeffery S. Eaves, 47, was arrested after a deputy tried to stop him for a moving violation. Officials state that Eaves continued to drive to his home and pulled into the driveway. He then got out of his vehicle and attempted to flee on foot. Once caught, police say that Eaves began to fight with the deputy. After being taken into custody he was found to have been consuming alcoholic beverages prior to the attempted traffic stop.

Eaves was arraigned in the Village of Earlville Court and sent to the corrections facility in lieu of $10,000. He will return to court at a later date.
