Domestic Dispute Results in Several Charges

A domestic dispute ends up with a Tompkins man arrested on felony charges. Police say William Caiati assaulted a victim last Wednesday by attempting to choke her then shoved the victim injuring her wrist. As the victim tried to call 9-1-1 Caiati disabled the phone. Investigators say a second victim reported Caiati assaulted her when she tried to intervene. Caiati was arraigned in town of Deposit court and jailed on $1,000 cash bail with an order of protection filed on behalf of the victims.
